10 July 2018

Football Star Academy Brisbane has selected an U8's team from St.Pius Primary School Banyo to travel to Tamworth Inland Academy of Sport to compete in the National Primary School Games, which is sponsored by the Australian Olympic Committee where special Olympic guest will be present.

The kids will be competing against schools and academies from all around the country.

8 out of 11 boys are registered with the Football Star Academy Weekly 8-9 Clinic at St.Pius Primary School Thursday Afternoons, learning and practicing their football skills with Head Coach Dave and his team. The children’s ongoing dedication, passion and development to learning football has safely secured their spot to compete at the National Primary School Games where they will compete against some serious competition.

Four local Sponsors have got behind Football Star Academy and supported Head Coach David Sawina and collectively have been able to supply all the kids with full Football Star Academy training gear and tracksuits. A huge thanks to sponsors Ginger & Spice,    Floor Sanding Brisbane & Polishing Experts for their assistance.

The National Primary Games (NPG) is a unique Sports Carnival for girls and boys aged 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 years representing their school, club or association in teams of all levels. They will compete in a feel-good atmosphere against clubs and schools from all regions with the support of the Australian Olympic Committee which includes the presence of Olympians over the weekend. Competitions will be coordinated by Sporting bodies (local, state and in some cases national) and is set to be held over the last weekend of the July school holidays in NSW – 21st and 22nd July 2018.

Good luck to our FSA team!
